Our stream is filled with small trout as well as a few chubs and bullheads. We also get large stripe bass swimming up the slough to feed on the smaller fish. We have a small pond with 3 pet sturgeon. (Please resist the temptation to throw in your line here.) For Salmon and Sturgeon fishing we recommend the Umpqua and Smith Rivers. Many local anglers fish along the Smith River Bank when the fish are running (about 1 1/2 mile from the Cozy Cattail) There are a number of local fishing guides you can charter a fishing trip to the currently hot fishing spots. Surf Perch are caught along the ocean beaches. There are many small lakes in the area that have been stocked with trout. Bottom fish can be caught off of the Umpqua jetty or from an ocean charter.
